Nicholas Aylwin
Managing Director
Nick Aylwin has a long and successful career in cross-border investment banking, having been successively Executive Director and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Hill Samuel, a British investment banking firm; Managing Director and Head of European Mergers and Acquisitions at PaineWebber; and President of Charterhouse Inc., New York, a subsidiary of Credit Commercial de France, of which he was also an Executive Director.
Nick is a Founder Partner of Octopus Ventures in London, a leading venture capital provider in the UK. Nick is a Chartered Accountant. He has lived and worked in France, Australia, United States and UK.
Based in London, Nick is responsible for the Company's business development strategies for the UK and Europe.
Henry Huang
Managing Director
Henry brings over a decade of experience in government relationships and joint venture negotiations to JFP Holdings. Prior to joining the Company, Henry was one of the key individuals in the Chairman's Office at ASIMCO for 12 years. In 1999, Henry joined ASIMCO as Corporate Communications Manager and went on to become Director of Public and Government Affairs. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the company and his increasing responsibilities, he was promoted to Vice President in December 2007 and was responsible for the company's government affairs at the central, provincial and local levels; public affairs; corporate communications and partner relationships; as well as the coordination and management of strategic business assignments.
In 1990, Henry began his working career as a Sales Manager for the Beijing Kunlun Hotel and then as Public Relations Manager at the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center. In 1997, Henry moved to the United States, where he worked in sales and logistic function for Pinnacles Enterprises in New Jersey.
Henry received a bachelor's degree in English Literature from Beijing University of International Relations and a postgraduate education in Journalism from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
John Liang
Managing Director
John Liang has over 15 years experience in the domestic and global automotive industries, having been a sales and marketing executive in several major automotive companies, such as China Auto Electronic Group, Tenneco, ASIMCO Technologies and NORINCO (China Northern Industries Corporation).
John holds a bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering and a master's degree in Management from Tianjin University. He spent five years at NORINCO preparing analyses, market studies and strategic planning of the group's automotive and motorcycle business. In 1998, he joined ASIMCO Technologies as a Marketing Manager, helping the CEO to develop the market strategy for China, and then as the Commercial Director for ASIMCO Braking Systems in Guangzhou, one of the ASIMCO operating companies. There, John created an OE and aftermarket sales and marketing program that helped triple sales revenue at the company. In 2006, John joined Tenneco (China) as Sales and Marketing Manager of Ride Control product line, where he established sales programs that increased sales revenue and solidified client relationships, as well as participated in global product development programs. Before joining JFP Holdings, John was Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Program Management at China Auto Electronic Group, one of China's largest manufacturers of automotive electronic components.
John brings valuable industry knowledge and sales and marketing experience to JFP Holdings.
Daniel Liu
Managing Director
Daniel has more than 22 years of experience in sales and marketing, manufacturing, operations, and general management in China's automotive industry.
Daniel joins JFP Holdings from Fiat Powertrain (China), where he was Chief Representative and General Manager of HAVECO, a joint venture between Fiat Powertrain (China) and two local components companies. Prior to joining Fiat, Daniel spent ten years at ASIMCO and was one of the company's most accomplished employees. Daniel first joined ASIMCO as Head of the Engineering Department of ASIMCO's foundry company in Shanxi Province, a joint venture between Caterpillar and CITIC. In 2000, Daniel was Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Beijing Renchuang Group, the largest foundry materials supplier in China, before returning to ASIMCO in 2003 as Senior Sales Manager in ASIMCO's export division.
In 2004, Daniel was appointed Key Account Manager and was responsible for establishing relationships with ASIMCO's strategic partners. In this position, Daniel earned the ASIMCO President's Award in recognition of his accomplishments and was also named Deputy General Manager of ASIMCO's fuel system joint venture in Beijing, one of the largest in the ASIMCO group. From 2007 to 2009, he was General Manager of ASIMCO's NVH company in Anhui Province, where he created a market strategy that increased sales revenue by 200% during a very difficult economy.
Daniel began his working career in 1991 at Dongfeng Motor Corporation, one of China's major automakers, where he spent eight years as an engineer and manager in its foundry operation. He received a bachelor's degree in Foundry Science from Chongqing University, and a Master of Material Processing and an EMBA from Tsinghua University in Beijing.
Ronald Martin
Managing Director
A recognized expert in foundry operations, Ron worked for Caterpillar for 37 years, during which he had international assignments in France, Russia, Mexico and China. In 1995, Ron became General Manager of Caterpillar's China operation, where he gained extensive experience in general management, operations and manufacturing, specializing in the metals industry. There, he also worked with ASIMCO to establish the #1-ranked block and head casting facility in China. During his career with Caterpillar, Ron was repeatedly recognized as an Outstanding Manager and was voted the Best General Manager of a Joint Venture by Shanxi Province in 2000, as well as numerous other recognitions for his work in China.
Ron is also an entrepreneur, starting his own consulting, business services, and trading and wholesale distribution companies in China. As the first person to introduce frozen pizza to China, Ron gained knowledge and expertise working in the trading and distribution end of the food and beverage industry. In addition, he has worked with the State of Missouri and several small and medium capacity companies in developing business interest in China.
Out of all his achievements and accomplishments, Ron takes the most pride in the development of the Chinese managers he trained, who have gone on in their careers to become senior managers and/or executives in companies throughout China.
Ron resides with his wife, who is Chinese, and his son in Shanghai.
Taylor Croonquist
Vice President
Taylor has lived and worked in China for over five years, most recently as an investment relationship manager for Cobalt Handles AG, a small group of investors based in Germany focused on reverse mergers onto the German stock exchange. In his capacity with the company, Taylor worked with Cobalt's various portfolio companies, helping them to articulate their financial and operational performance to the market. Prior to his role at Cobalt, Taylor worked with Eric Paris Blue Star Salons Ltd. in Beijing, an emerging chain of China-based hair salons, where he held several business development positions.
Taylor began his career with PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP in New York City in the Financial Services Division's Risk & Regulatory group. At PWC, he built customized reporting systems for large enterprises for compliance with global regulatory standards.
Taylor holds a B.A. in Economics (Honors) from Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business. As an undergraduate, he studied at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China and completed a full year of post-graduate language study at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.
Jeffrey Triana
Vice President
Jeffrey has over 15 years experience in financial services in both the United States and China. He spent over eight years in private wealth management advising high net worth individuals on portfolio strategies, culminating in a position as Senior Vice President at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in New York City. He has raised capital as a third party marketer for hedge funds and for the last five years has held the position of Head of Institutional Sales at Kuhns Brothers. During his tenure at Kuhns Brothers, he worked exclusively in capital markets assisting private Chinese companies in raising over USD 300 million and listing on U.S. exchanges. He has worked on a variety of transactions including private placements, follow-on offerings and initial public offerings.
Jeffrey has established relationships with institutional investors including hedge funds, private equity funds and banks in Asia as well as the United States. Concurrently he has been a consultant to China Hydroelectric Corporation (NYSE-CHC) assisting that company in its capital-raising efforts and investor relations. He has lived and worked in China and splits his time between the United States and Beijing.
Jeffrey graduated from Boston University with a BSBA in International Finance. At JFP Holdings, he spearheads the firm's going private and capital-raising efforts.
Carleen Giacalone
Vice President, Communications
One of the original members of the ASIMCO team, Carleen was Director of Corporate Communications for ASIMCO for 14 years. As such, she was responsible for Public Relations, Corporate Communications and Corporate Identity for the Company. In this role, Carleen developed ASIMCO's relationships with both the foreign and Chinese media; developed ASIMCO's corporate identity and brand, implementing common visual and architectural guidelines throughout the 17 joint venture and wholly owned companies; managed all aspects of the company's branding strategy, including development of all marketing materials and corporate website profile; and coordinated all internal and external company events, including participation in Chinese and international trade shows, board and investor meetings, and quarterly General Managers' Meetings.
Prior to joining ASIMCO in 1994, Carleen served for 13 years as Assistant Corporate Secretary of Paine Webber Incorporated. In her capacity at Paine Webber, Carleen was responsible for shareholder relations and all corporate matters involving the board of directors and subsidiary companies. Carleen graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University, New York.
Carleen is based in Beijing and is responsible for corporate administration, communications and media relations.
Sara Cusimano
Vice President, North America
Sara spent the last four years in Investment Management at Goldman Sachs, where she worked on a team that managed over $5 billion across approximately seventy family relationships. Her responsibilities as a Private Wealth Advisor included financial counseling, strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction and rebalancing, meeting preparation and regular client communications. In addition, Sara worked extensively with the Special Investments Desk, marketing innovative ideas and opportunities and coordinating investments in Hedge Funds, Real Estate and Private Equity.
Prior to her experience at Goldman Sachs, Sara worked in communications as Tom Brokaw's Coordinator at NBC News. In her role at NBC, Sara was responsible for coordinating the efforts of Mr. Brokaw's television, documentary and book producers; managing Mr. Brokaw's staff; liaising with his lawyer, publicists and agent; scheduling trips; and otherwise overseeing his calendar.
Sara has lived and worked in China and has traveled extensively throughout the country. Sara graduated from Yale College and studied Mandarin Chinese.
Based in the United States, Sara is head of account management and the North America liaison.
Libby Perkowski
Vice President
Prior to joining JFP Holdings, Libby worked at Forstmann Little & Co., the large New York based private equity firm, where she helped organize the company's renowned Aspen Conference and assisted the Chairman in various capacities. In 2004 Libby worked as a Policy and Business Program Intern at the Asia Society in New York where she researched and drafted papers regarding current business trends in Asia and presented topics for future panel discussions and conferences.
A Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Georgetown University, Libby has had a broad international exposure, both professionally and personally. She is proficient in both the Chinese and Italian languages, having lived and studied in China and having spent a semester at Georgetown's campus in Fiesole, Italy. From October 2007 to December 2008, Libby traveled independently to 17 countries on 5 continents.
Libby participates in various projects in an analytical capacity, as well as coordinating and interfacing with U.S. clients.
Elliot Rasmuson
Analyst
Elliot graduated from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill in 2010 with Dean's List honors and a bachelor's degree in Economics and Asian Studies. In addition to his undergraduate curriculum, Elliot developed a start-up business model for a grocery delivery service to students on campus, which was awarded as a semi-finalist in the renowned "Carolina Challenge" competition.
Elliot has had broad exposure to Asia in both personal and professional capacities. He is proficient in Mandarin Chinese, having spent time living and studying in Shanghai at East China Normal University, and in 2009 Elliot worked in Jakarta, Indonesia as an intern for the USAID-financed SENADA initiative, where he conducted participant surveys and economic analysis to evaluate project effectiveness.
Based in Beijing, Elliot participates in various projects to provide analytic support to senior staff.
Sun Xin
Administrative Assistant
Upon graduation from China Central Radio & TV University in 2005, Sun worked in the Business Development and Communications department for a travel agency in Beijing. There, she developed customized travel plans and also supervised resort real restate on behalf of clients. In 2007 she joined Mandarin Orange, a designer and manufacturer of Asian-themed jewelry and accessories, assisting in sales, production management and customer relations.
In 2009 Sun joined the JFP Holdings team and is responsible for the daily administrative and accounting duties at the company's headquarters.
Judy Wang
Administrative Assistant
Judy graduated from Beijing Normal University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. There, she majored in Applied Economics, with a focus in financial management and marketing in China, and worked in customer service at a popular foreign book store.
Judy assists the Managing Partner, Managing Directors and Vice Presidents of JFP Holdings in research, translation and other administrative capacities at the company's headquarters in Beijing. |
